Welcome to “blurred edges!

In this lesson we will use our non-dominant hand with some loose scratchy charcoal and pastel to create a simple figure.

It can seem clumsy and cumbersome at first when you start with that “other hand”, but the long term payoff is enormous if you stick with it. I would not be able to create the art I do if I hadn’t discovered its magic many years ago.  Trust in the process, and your brain, and give it a try.

SUPPLIES LIST

  • Cold press watercolour paper A4 size
  • Watersoluble graphite pencil
  • Vine/willow charcoal
  • Compressed charcoal pencil
  • White soft pastel
  • Watercolour brush large round
  • Eraser
  • Water, paper towel
