petit fleur class & giveaway

My new “little flower” class is ready – and I just adore it!

I have been painting still life artworks for over 20 years now, but I had not done so for a very long time…and I now remember why I loved them so much way back then 🙂

My desire to conquer the palette knife got me started again, and although I was not entirely happy with those early results (you may have seen them on facebook or instagram!) it did encourage me to pick up the brush for another go 🙂

And so I happily painted away to my heart’s content, these little flowers are a delight to create and really take you back to being a kid and the sense of play that sadly most of us probably lack these days.

Now I have created a little class with four petit fleurs… and a pear!

To celebrate I am giving away a free spot in this class.

To enter do both 1 & 2 below:
1.  comment below and let me know your favourite flower (or fruit!)
2. share this post to your facebook page.

I will draw the winner by random number generator in 3 days time (Wednesday 31st May in Australian time).  For an additional chance to win!!!  you can comment on my facebook post also….just visit my page here)

If you purchase the class and then will the giveaway I will reimburse your class cost 🙂

  28. These are lovely paintings, and I can sense your pride and joy for them! My favorite flower is the sunflower. I have a special place in my heart for many others as they remind me of cherished family members. My Grandmother Florence had an amazing garden, but her house had many teacups filled with violets. My Grandmother Millie grew amazing roses (I still have one she gave me over 15 years ago), and she had an amazing patch of Lily of the Valley by her patio. My mom loved so many flowers, but peonies were her favorite. My daughter also loves peonies partly, I think, because of the special bond she had with her grandmother.

Heck, I really love all flowers. I’m a landscape architect.

  30. My favorite flower is Liatris. For me is a spectacular flower by its color, shape and blooming. Let me tell you a bit of the amazing Liatris.

Liatris flowers form along the tall spikes, and these fuzzy, thistle-like blossoms, which are usually purple, flower from the top to the bottom rather than in the traditional bottom to top blooming of most plants.
