  9. Hello😊 I would enjoy a spot on the kaleidoscope course very much. I am still to understand how to mix colours. I am a housebound person due to chronic illness so the time I spend colourfully and mindfully exploring art I am my most happiest. All of the art and artists you brought to me through the online world are my inspiration. I also was most inspired by an art therapist that first introduced to me to the beauty of art, colour and the natural world. My favourite colours are greens for the serenes 😆💚😍

  29. I love how colors play with and against each other. I love these taster sessions because they give me the space to play with color in ways that I probably would not have thought of on my own.

  30. My granddaughter was 3 when she said she wanted to paint the sky green because it was her favourite colour, I told her she could paint anything ANY colour she liked, because colour and art are whatever you want them to be. She is 17 now and still remembers that comment. That is what colour means to me, a tool for your imagination.

  31. I love color because this is not a black and white world. I have only made art for a little over 4 years now and in looking at my work for 4 years I see how drawn I am to color, it truly makes me smile. The neutrals are great too, but color gives me LIFE.

  32. Color makes me happy to be alive! I love my garden color; reds and yellows of spring bulbs, then the purples and blues take over late spring, then all sorts of vibrant colored blooms, the greens and blues of foliage, dancing colors of butterflies, etc. When feeling not-so-bouncy, you can find peace or solace in the sunset and dusk colors or a moonlit night. I want to record it all!

  33. I love how color can alter the mood of the hole painting… I did your lesson with more darks and It didn’t turn out as fresh feeling as yours… well I guess I knew that that would happen, My paper I chose looks more like a sweater , and the orange red i used makes it looks like a winter scene with the white splatters. Such a difference from yours but i really wasn’t trying to copy yours. Love your classes.

  34. Colors are so important in everything .. it helps me to feel better (bright happy colors) in those dreary not so happy days. Thank you for the chance and loves your session on Taster24!

  41. I have been in love with deep purples and violets all my life, and they make me so happy so quickly, they can just lift any mood. It has been such a pleasure to explore purple palettes in my daily art practice over the last two years, and to notice how fast color can lift my mood!

  42. What I love about color is LEARNING HOW TO USE IT! I have been a clay artist in my other life and now I am learning about painting…its a whole new world! I have A LOT to learn about using color!!! Excited about this taster class. Thank you for the mixed media lesson Toni Burt!

  43. I love the little quirly houses and faces I’m scared of goofing up with color but I’m getting more adventurous. Been following you sinnce 21 And now I see the lovely porcelines you make.

  44. In 2015 I took a job in an outback desert region of Western Australia, in a small community populated by the Indigenous owners of the land. I found out on day one that colour is a privilege of birth. Something I had not known the full extent of until then. For example; red was only worn by men. I had to post 5 kilos of red clothes back to my home state. I never knew how I really felt about red until I wasn’t allowed to wear it. Upon my return to my home state in 2016, I wore red everyday for a few years and to this day continue to wear red whenever I need to feel strong and empowered.

  45. I love that color can influence your mood and that you can express your mood with color.

  46. I love the way i can use the colour of my clothing to help accentuate the mood i am in or how i want to express myself that day.

  51. Coucou, la couleur c’est la vie. Elle change en fonction de notre humeur et du temps

    Bizzz So

  52. Color…I love (almost) all colors. I bet the colors that I dislike are ones that you absolutely love. The thing about color, yes, it’s just reflections of light perception. So we see it differently. Color shows our differences, yet there is an emotional undertone for each color that hits us all similarly. Pure color, tones, and shades…they speak volumes and we have yet we can recreate every single color imaginal by variations of just 3…It’s amazing!

  53. One colour can be more and when you mix 2 colours, it is something difference. It is so amazing!

  54. What I love about color is how it influences our moods. A little yellow and a splash of orange with some sky blue makes me happy, even though red is my favorite color! 🙂

  55. I love that color can give feeling to anything visual. I love to create with joyful colors (joyful to me!) and color can add joy even on a gloomy day.

  56. Color in my art is a form of self-expression. I love to try new combinations when I’m working on something. It’s freeing to the mind and soul for me.

  57. the great thing about color is that it can take you to another world. Granulating watercolor is magical to look at and it can be soothing to watch paint move across the paper. the color enhances a certain mood.

  58. As an energy healer and an artist, colors mean more to me than just adding depth and vibrancy to a piece of art. Each color holds their own frequency and healing capacity that I try to incorporate into my own work.

  59. Colors are at the heart of my creative process, I experience the full rainbow range of emotions and it’s how my soul speaks! Right now, my mood is Orange 🙂

  60. I love colors, colors make me happy, they bring support in my life , creativity and colors are like therapy, the colors bring also healing in everybody’s life.
Bring color in your life is my quote for every thing. lots of love xx

  61. Color is amazing because it can portray so many things. The actual colors of wildlife and nature but also feelings. The warmth and coolness of the various colors , the emotions that come forth with various colors.

    1. Colours represent human moods n human anatomy.
Seven chakras in our body is represented by seven colours.
Each mood in humans r represented by different colors.
Colour therapy is used as one of the healing techniques.

  62. Color just makes me happy!!!! Especially the shades in my roses… wish I could get those in my art. Loved the colors in your taster!!

  63. What ai love most about color is the way it can completely change the mood of something. A dash of color can really make or break an art piece in my mind. Or draw attention to the best details. I think color can be subtle or bold and it is what makes the world really exciting!

  64. I love All colors and all combinations of colors. I love when I’m surprised by an artist’s strange combination of colors… Where, technically, they shouldn’t work… But they totally make it work. Thank you for the great class!

  65. I love how you can express a mood or feeling with colour; and especially learning how to blend unique colours together to build a unique palette 🎨

  66. I’m a shy colorist. I love color but my expression doesn’t always come out. Really, in my soul I’m a dancer that soars, a singer that belts out a tune and a poet that brings people to tears with her images…..I want to find that for real in my painting. Color is emotion. Mine wants out!

  67. I love how color doesn’t just change an image, it enhances the subject with mood and emotion. A picture of bright pink flowers looks happy and you can almost smell the sweet aroma of the petals. A picture of a lone girl in a dark blue background suggests sadness, or melancholy. Color is the adjective of the art world.

  68. I love that the nuances and possibilities of colour are endless and allow me a limitless palette to express my thoughts and emotions etc 🎨 🩵

  69. Colour makes me happy! My daughter’s house is all white and grey because she had a colour overload growing up she says 😅. I love how clean it looks BUT who can resist a beautiful, coloured bottle or pillow or throw or painting etc etc…🤩🤩

  70. well colour is like moving from scotland to australia. Scotland was a black and white tv. AUstralia a colour tv metaphorically speaking….. who owns a black and white tv these days? colour makes everything better…… case closed! 🙂 xo

  71. I like how color can make me feel. It makes me happy to see harmonious combinations of color.

  72. What I love about colour is the way they help me connect with my inner world. Deep, warm colours make me feel safe and held, lighter colours spark joy.

  74. I love bright colours because they are fun, playful and can lift your mood 💜💛🧡🩷

  75. I love all the colors. You can do so much with them. It would be very boring if there are no colors in the world as every thing would be in black white and grey scales. Colors make every thing lively.

  76. Colors meen the world to me. As a (beginer) artist i explore more and more colors every day. When i look at (my own) art, I wonder what it is that makes me love it. It is the combination of colors. So for my it does not matter if it’s a abstract, portret of landscape… It’s the color’s that makes me love it!!! An i love a lott of different colors, but sometimes not together! Hihi!!!

  77. What do I love about COLOR???? First of all being able to SEE ALL the GORGEOUS COLORS on a daily basis is a BLESSING of itself. I can at least visualize color in my mind if I ever lost it, but I have at least been fortunate enough to see the Beauty that color brings to my life… and use art to recreate some of that Beauty. Think sunrise, sunset, fireworks, waterfalls, clouds in the sky, flowers, birds, rocks, the ocean water at St. Thomas…nature things…then I think about my boys, when they were born and seeing their beautiful eyes for the first time…my husband has gorgeous blue eyes. I also think about how color affects the food I eat…I have to like the way it looks…COLOR DOES THAT… it affects me… Just opening a box of crayons and smelling them takes me back to coloring in the first grade. Being able to SEE all that Beautiful COLOR …just makes me want to never ever forget it…and try to improve my art so I can recreate some of that BEAUTY!!!!! COLOR makes me HAPPY!!!!

  78. I love to draw but then I really love the way colours can change the feel of a drawing. A good drawing can have depth and life so it isn’t that. Colour gives me a chance to bring so much more, it can give something character, emotion and invoke more feelings.

  79. What do I like about colour? Let me count the ways. I love bright happy colours, one day, cool extremes another. Colour and mood seem to go together. I love how colour can brighten my day, or cause me to look again and ponder. I love how my granddaughter reacts when she walks into my art room – to be surrounded by colour – makes her (and me) be in our happy place.

  80. Colour, for me, is a form of communication and experience and it ties in to all of our senses. It can affect mood, how we see the world and our reactions to it. It invites us in or provides warnings. It can cool us down or warm us up. It wraps us up with it’s message. My daughter (12yrs) has a genetic deletion which is going to steal her eyesight, starting with night vision and then affecting her colour perception and then reducing her vision down to very little to nothing. We are teaching her that her she will be able to smell colour, hear colour and taste colour by tapping in to her memories and remembering what these senses looked like and what colours they represented. She wont be able to see colour, but she can still sense it. Well, this is what colour is to us. It is the life experience <3

  81. The thing I love about color is that colors have descriptive names. I love yellow, but my favorite shade is baby duck yellow. I love green, but my favorite colors are Irish Kelly green, vintage minty green, which is close but different to sea foam green….

  82. I love how colour has the ability to alter mood. It’s always there when you need it to sparkle or to settle. It can be joyous or moody or inspiring.

  83. The thing I love about color is the magic of mixing. I am always amazed at the variety of colors that can be created if on plays and has a basic understanding of color theory. Even mixing the neutrals is exciting.

    1. Color is wonderful as the many shades or hues as well as the variety of colors makes me feel so many emotions.

  84. I love color and I’m entranced when I see them interacting with each other. I enjoy mixing them in my wardrobe, as well in my watercolor art. I would love to win a free spot on this year’s Kaleidoscope course. I will have my 87th birthday soon. I’m somewhat housebound and find my art endeavors keep me interested in life. I’m hoping to win one of the available openings! ❤️

  85. I love the way different colors can bring out certain emotions and even the same color can be used to express different emotions at different times depending how it is used. I would love to win a place in Kaleidescope to improve my watercolor skills and learn how to use color more intentionally.

  86. Colour…its nuances, its songs, its poetry, its gradations from light to dark, from soft to vibrant, from pure transparency to moody mixtures, its stories of galaxy and garden, meadow and marketplace, summer skies and sunset sojourns…it holds so much and it holds my heart.

  87. I view color as the doorway to a portal. A portal that takes you to a place of endless possibilities; a place where you can heal, prosper, find fulfillment, find answers, let go and so much more. Each ray of color can take you to a different place of imagination and where you can find each part of yourself that you might have left behind when you were exploring yourself.

  88. I love that color can completely change anything. It affects moods. It can highlight certain parts of a piece. It can make a piece fade into the background or pop to attention. Color can combine to create new things. Color can surprise you. I love color and am excited to learn more about it.

  89. Colour is happiness, joy, inspiration. By adding color to our day, things can look more pleasant and grateful, and that will make us shine, smile and enjoy more everything that’s around us .

  90. I love colour, some colours make me happy. Seeing my favorite colour on clothing or decorations for the home, make me feel loved. People have auras that are made of colours. We can express our individuality with colour. Sometimes certain colours, like scents, can remind us of a place or memory of a person. Knowing the favorite colour of someone who has passed, seems important to us in remembering our loved ones.

  91. I love that I can use color in my art journaling to express my emotions. Thanks so much for the opportunity to win a spot in Kaleidoscope.

  92. I love that while most colors have a universal understanding (like yellow being light and warmth and happiness) it can also mean sickness and cowardness. So the story of a plain yellow canvas can be interpreted differently by each viewer, I think that is super interesting.

  93. Oh my gosh!!!!! Color has always been a force in my world! It gives me such happiness because it can speak without words! It bounces back to the viewer with such messages of joy, desire, song and even tears!!!! I’m so excited to hang out with you again…I even bought some of your classes and they have shown me how much fun you are!!!!

  94. Color is a gift to us to enrich our lives with nuances of combinations. Like a rainbow it glows and ebbs and fades away. Only 3 colors can make all others, and black and white can change all colors. Color can express all of our emotions. What a gift!!

  95. I love that it only takes three colors to make all the colors in the rainbow! I’ve loved learning how to mix the different colors to get a whole different color and can express so many thoughts and expressions with the colors I use. I love how bright colors like yellow and orange can brighten ones mood and cheer up the day and how darker colors can express sadness and sympathy.

  96. I love the unexpected combinations of colours that you don’t envisage that jump off the page.

  97. I love how color can elicit thoughts, emotions, and memories. I love how it can draw your eye to something important or meaningful. I love how you can use it to express feelings and moods.

  98. People always ask me what my favorite color is and I can never answer. I love the yellow in daffodils. The green of the grass. The grey fur of my cat. The redness of a tomato. I like natural colors and keep those colors in the paint of my walls and my wardrobe. Greens and browns. They ground me

  99. Color can set a mood. Happiness, moodiness, etc. I often dress to my moods, or will pick bright colors to brighten my mood.

  100. What I love about color is the way it boosts a personality, improves or calms a mood and satisfies the soul’s need for nourishment. (And, I don’t mean meat and potatoes). Color is important to art of all kinds, fine art, photography, fabric arts, jewelry etc. Color brings out the essence of art expression.

  101. Colour is always around us. No favourite colour for me. It changes by mood or season or time of day. I love the green of spring, the oranges reds and yellow of fall and the white of snow equally. I love the black of night with only the stars to guide, the bright blue sky of a sunny day or the dark greys of a impending storm. Some colours evoke calm, some create strength and courage and yes there are colours for the bad or sad days too. Colours are wonderful.

  102. I thrive on color, it expresses emotions, found in nature in my garden, while selecting quilting fabrics I go for bright cheerful colors. It has an effect on everything I do, whether it’s creating, planting wildflowers or brightening up a room. Would enjoy learning more about color theory!

  103. I love all colours. They make me happy. I love to go to fabric stores, Yarn shops, craft and art stores near me just to see all the colours. I really would love to win a spot to participate in Kaleidoscope this year and learn all I can about colours and how I can use more. Thanks for giving me a chance.

  104. I love that color can express emotions. Depending on your mood you can use bright colors to show happiness or dark ominous sad and loathing colors. Color combinations can say holidays: orange, purple, green and black for Halloween and red & green for Christmas. Colors have their own language. You have a stop light that conveys red for stop and green for go and yellow for yield. Colors are a part of our world.

  105. Colour is so important in the way it affects our mood, and when I started doing artistic things I became far more aware of the nuances, especially in nature.

  106. Color is my very breath, without it a part of me would die. Color is emotion, temperature, joy, heartache, happiness, sadness, rainy, sunny, conveys love or hate. Colors reacts to the world around by mixing and blending , shining or dulling by it values. Color is the very breath of earth, without Color parts of our earth would surely die.

  107. To me, colour is direclty linked to my emotions. colour helps me express and also ais healing. It’s like magic…

  108. Thank you so much for the lesson. I love your faces! And also your palletts and brush holders! I love color! I love ALL the colors. Rainbow is my favorite color!

  109. Colors reflect my mood, feelings, memories and spirit of the day. I love bright colors, they make me happy and are usually my go too.

  115. I love that colors make me happy. My favorite colors, oranges, teals just make me feel such joy and peace. Earth tones make me feel relaxed and also peaceful.

  116. I love how color brings forth emotions, and you can express your emotions with color. I love playing with color then stepping back to see how it makes me feel. 🫣

  117. Color generally makes me happy. The brighter the better. I love to mix colors to see what I get.

  118. Hai toni I feel when I paint every colour have some texture according to our creativity in my perception I see red as different in different paintings really colours are incredible

  119. Colour delights me in every way. I love trying out different colours and moving beyond my comfort zone.

  120. Colour delights me in every way. I love trying out different colours and moving beyond my comfort zone. Colour transports me to magical realms and lifts my spirits.

  121. For me it is exactly as in this quote suggests by Picasso…..

“Colors, like features, follow the changes of the emotions.”
    – Pablo Picasso

Grateful for this opportunity to win a spot Toni! Thank you kindly.

  122. I love discovering how much I am enjoying colors I didn’t seem to prefer when I was younger. I may not want to wear them but they can be so fun to put on a page! As I look at the art of others I seem to be more in tune with how their choice of color not only impacts the art but also how it makes me feel. Color is a wonderful way to communicate with others. 139. Colour makes me smile, it makes my heart sing, it soothes my soul! It brings me joy! I love colour 🌈

  140. colour makes me feel, makes me feel alive, makes the world more vibrant and lifts my soul

  141. Color can be invigorating, consoling, dramatic or calming. It lifts the spirits and often enhances one’s mood. But most of all, color is deceiving–it is not until one paints or in some other way attempts to capture color that one realizes on color is purely one color–greens are not just green for example. When trying to paint grass in a field or leaves on a tree or shrub one finds that some greens are more yellow than green or more blue–it is the most fascinating thing about color and our attempts to recreate it.

  142. Colour in all things , nature, decor, food … can elevate joy and positive mood! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  143. For me, color lights my soul on fire. I can be in a lot of pain, and when I start splashing color around on a canvas, I go into another world. Thank you for your lesson!!

  146. Thanks for the giveaway! We’re in my favorite season of newly emerging and blooming flowers – a literal kaleidoscope of colors and scents. Whether soft and muted or bright and vibrant, colors bring joy, at least to me.

  147. I love the variety of colors you use. You have such a knack for picking the right colors.

  148. Just watched your video and loved your colour swatch. It seems that there is no end to the number of colours which exist! That’s kinda amazing!

  149. I love the joy to express myself with colours and to create different moods with different colours.

  150. Colour can create so many things, moods, feelings, thoughts, emotions, depth, perspective. They are part of everyday life, yet when I find a colour that I love, it elevates me to another level.

  151. I love bright and cheerful colours, they just make me happy to work with (or to wear). I enjoy tropical and ethnic prints, they lift my spirits and make me want to get my paints and papers out. I get inspired by the colours of flowers or birds (we were in South America recently and saw so many beautiful, colourful birds).

  152. Painting with color is new to me. I still feel like I am creating with my non-dominant hand when painting with color, as I typically work my mixed media in natural tones until recently. I have discovered like everyone else that it does affect the mood, but what I love is that it affects all of my senses differently – smell, touch, taste, sight, emotion…. It can be persuasive, commanding, subtle, whimsical and I am just loving learning Color’s personality as it is applied to my work. It is like discovering a new friendship to explore! Thank you Toni, as I look forward to yours and many others’ classes this week and would love an opportunity to join Kaleidoscope.

I love the the colors created by my grandchildren in every movement they make. I love my little art room, the way the colors flow on my canvas, the smell of the paint. There are some days when the colors are dark and that’s ok but the best days are turquoise and orange and yellow and pink!

  162. Colour is infinite. I love to see different colours in the most ordinary things. I’d love to learn how to translate that to my sketchbook pages.

  163. Colors for me are energy, joy, hapiness, feeling alive, being alive.

  164. Colours bring everything to life, for me. because of my past I have spent years trying not to be seen in the real world, but that is changing, and so is my use of colour. I use colour in my art to express my feelings and to be loud and vibrant in a way I still dont feel able to in life.

  168. Colour evokes emotion…fragility, strength and courage. Colour makes me feel like it’s more natural to colour outside of the lines than within them.

  169. I love that color is different for each viewer. It evokes emotions, creates atmosphere, and can boost our mood.

  170. Several years ago, I didn’t wear much color. I had my favorite colors of course. Purple and Teal. But I didn’t wear much of those either. I found Tams Quirky bird tutorial a few yrs ago and followed along. Since then, I have found art again. I loved it as a child. I have dealt with depression for years, so art gave me a purpose again. Especially since my kids are grown and out of the house. I wear colors again. I even enjoy using the color orange… which was never a favorite color. Colors make me feel happy. There are bits of color around my house now and even though I still have hard days I still find my way back. I’m grateful for bright colors.

  178. I love how colors can completely change the mood I’m in. They can cheer me up or calm me down, be relaxing or invigorating, make me smile or convey sadness. The only other thing that can do that is music. Which is why I love to listen to my favorite tunes when I paint!

  179. I love working with vibrate colours. They give such life to a piece. I love the using clean bold colours to express energy and emotions. I find muted tones tend to lead me into feelings of sadness but bold bright colours evoke happiness to my soul

I love all the bright colours – the ones when you look at them make you smile and can evoke a memory – and how amazing the colours are on birds – especially the rosellas – with all the brightness – my favourite colour is pink and all shades of it – how can you be sad when you look at that yumminess of colour 🥰
