Painting landscapes is a relaxing and enjoyable process. Especially if you let the paint do the work, and just kind of help it along. Painting loosely is a pleasure and not so difficult to achieve. I love using bold colours in my landscapes!
This class is one main lesson and one smaller lesson. Two landscape paintings will be created in total. It was originally filmed for Willowing’s Kaleidoscope course in 2020. I am now offering it here as a stand alone “mini-course”. It includes a short colour theory video on the scheme we will be using.
The cost for this 2 lesson mini-class is US$25.
This class uses pencil and loose layered watercolours and simple basic techniques.
In these lessons you will follow me step by step as we draw and colour our scenes. The course contains just under 2 hours of video, and a downloadable step by step pdf.
This is an open ended workshop with no expiration date. Plus all the videos are downloadable and yours to keep!
Who is this lesson for?
This is a beginners to intermediate class incorporating basic watercolour techniques and simple sketching. It is a work at your own pace class.
You will have access to my combined private FACEBOOK GROUP with others that are also taking my classes to share your work and get feedback.
So easy, informative classes……will even have the non artist like me producing master pieces. Honestly these classes are great fun, with easy to follow steps to suit all levels of expertise. Be warned very addictive, you won’t be able to stop at just one class.

What supplies will I need for the lessons?
Please use what you already have in your collection. The items below are what I have used in this class.
- Watercolour paper – 23x31cm (9×12”) – I use Arches Cold pressed
- Watercolour brushes – round medium/large sized quill or similar
- Watercolours – I use a mix of brands (Sennelier, Art Spectrum, Winsor & Newton, Maimeri Blu).

- Warm Red – spectrum red/coral/vermillion
- Cool Red – rose madder/spectrum crimson/red deep
- Orange – perm. orange/winsor orange/red orange
- Warm Yellow – Indian yellow/yellow deep/spectrum yellow
- Cool Yellow – lemon yellow
- White gouache – I use Art Spectrum
- 2b & 8b graphite pencil – I use Mars Lumograph black series
- Sharpener, eraser
- Paint palette, water jar, paper towels, tissues
