Your soul has a story, many stories. You know those times when you’re quiet and your heart skips a beat or something takes your breath away, maybe a sense of wonder overcomes you, or during meditation you see yourself in another place, an “other-world”…those are the moments when your soul is telling you something, it’s how your soul communicates with you. Those are the moments that we capture in this class – our soul stories.

I often experience those times in nature, in a beautiful forest or gazing at the moon…a sense of something other than yourself comes in. Those are the moments that we capture in this class – our soul stories.
The cost for this class is $42 US.
In this class we will create three soul stories. Two on stretched canvas and one in our journal. Of course you can use any substrate you prefer – all in your journal, or all on canvas or paper.
Our emphasis is on capturing emotion in our work. We do this with loose charcoal lines and mark making, and the use of limited colours, that are used in a bold yet free way.
Our backgrounds are constructed of old book pages, which in themselves tell a story, we overlay them with our own story, adding that touch of nostalgia in our pieces.
We will use beautiful words of poetry to add to our story in the last project, of course you can use words in all of your projects if you choose to.
Project one – spirit of the forest – includes imagery depicting tall trees and the evocative feeling of them towering above you. One of my favourite places to be is in the forest, sitting on an old log, immersed in nature, looking skyward.
Project two – moon warrior – our girl is strong and steadfast, the symbol of the moon is laid upon her heart chakra, creating a strong and emotive connection.
Project three – the sacred law – created in a journal and with the use of watercolour to depict an ethereal quality to our piece. A crow comes to visit and brings with it its messages from another world.
This class includes just under 4 hours of video showing all the processes step by step.
This is an open ended workshop with no expiration date. Plus all the videos are downloadable and yours to keep!
Who is this class for?
This is a beginners to intermediate class incorporating basic mixed media techniques. You will gain access to just under 4 hours of video in which I walk you through various mixed media, collage, acrylic and watercolour techniques.
You will have access to my combined private FACEBOOK GROUP with others that are also taking my classes to share your work and get feedback.
The classes I have taken from Toni are just what I was hoping for. She is so down to earth and teaches in a way that you don’t only learn, but are left feeling very inspired and able to make beautiful art!!! My very favorite artist and teacher! She has the kindest heart and you will get that the minute she starts her classes.
