CLASS IS NOW OPEN! – INSTANT ACCESS
There is a rawness, a vulnerability, and a language to expressive art. A portrait should speak to us through emotion, it should connect to us through the heart. But how do you achieve this? Through a looseness, an energy and a rawness in the way you work.
Add to this an expressive medium (charcoal!!!), that facilitates spontaneity and a sense of freedom. This class is all about creating in a way that brings an emotive quality to your art.
The cost for this class is US$69.
This is not a class about a perfectly executed detailed portrait, it is about expressive marks, darkness and light, and using our materials in a direct and spontaneous way.
In this class we will teach our brain how to look at things differently. If you want your art to be different you have to look at things differently! We will literally be flipping our artwork on its head! And in the process teaching our brain a new technique, and way of looking.
This is a beginners to intermediate level class, drawing and creating using this process of flipping your art upside down is actually easier than drawing a portrait upright, your brain will relax, and you will see things in a whole new way…perfect for beginners to learn how to “see” the face in a new way… or those who want to shake up what they are currently doing.
Each lesson is 20-30 minutes in length, these are simple to achieve, they may not look like it but trust me you will me amazed at what you can achieve with such simple tools and techniques. I will walk you though each of the 6 lessons step by step.
Come and join me and create your own raw, expressive portraits.
Who is this class for?
This is a beginners – intermediate level class incorporating basic charcoal techniques.
There are 6 full length projects in this class. It is a work at your own pace class. You will gain access to just under 3 hours of video in which I walk you through each step of the projects.
This is an open ended workshop with no expiration date. Plus all the videos are downloadable and yours to keep!
You will have access to my private combined FACEBOOK GROUP with others that are also taking my classes, to share your work and get feedback.
I have taken a few courses with Toni. Her pastel animals are my favourites. She goes into so much detail. Her teaching is calm and assured. I am so in love with her colour style. You can always tell a picture is a Toni Burt! – Susan B.
