It’s the little things… Those small sentimental moments, the tiny flashes of memory, even the smell of something, the feel of it. When you hold a small treasured thing in your hands you feel all of that, it’s what memory is made of.
The cost for this class is US$69.
Come with me and remember all those special things as you paint your artworks. Each one a snapshot in time. Think of all the little things that remind you of loved places, people, times.
In this class we will capture the spontaneity, the feeling, the soul of those things. It’s as simple as keeping the creative process loose and fluid, not overdoing it, just enough is enough. Of course we’ll add all the little details too, but just enough of them 🙂
We’ll also add a bit of sparkle with gold leaf, it really brings them to life, and you can’t have too much sparkle in your life!

Who is this class for?
This is a beginners to intermediate class incorporating basic watercolour painting and simple drawing techniques. There are 5 full length projects in this class. It is a work at your own pace class. You will gain access to just under 4 hours of video in which I walk you through each step of the projects.
This is an open ended workshop with no expiration date. Plus all the videos are downloadable and yours to keep!
You will have access to my private combined FACEBOOK GROUP with others that are also taking my classes, to share your work and get feedback.

What supplies will I need for the class?
Please use what you already have in your collection. The items below are what I have used in this class.
- Watercolour paper – I use Arches 300gsm cold press – 26 x 18cm (10×7″)
- Assorted watercolour paints (tubes or pans) The main colours I use are:
- Sepia, Ivory Black, Quinacridone Gold, Warm red, Cool red, Flinders Red Violet, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, Orange, Neutral Tint or Paynes Grey, Buff titanium.
- Gold watercolour – I use Kurtake Gansai set – 901 & 903 (I only use this in one lesson so it is optional)
- Tube white Gouache
- A couple of medium round watercolour brushes. I use Jacksons Raven 3/0 quill, and a stiffer cheaper acrylic round brush.
- Graphite pencil – I mostly use a 0.5 mechanical pencil with a 4b lead – and a small amount of Staedtler Mars Lumograph black 8b
- Gold Leaf and Gold Size (Glue). You can also just use matte medium instead of the Size however it will be harder to work with.
- Eraser
- paper towel
- water and paint palette
